My Life Story
Past: I was born on November 3, 2005 in Lafayette, Indiana. My first steps were at a year and a half old and my first word was "light." I moved to Texas around 3 years old where my 2 little brothers were born. I was always surrounded with music as a child starting with the elementary school choir that I did for fun with my friends and starting piano in kindergarten. I quit piano after 7 years to start clarinet in my middle school band. I was kind of bad at the time as I was the second to last chair in my beginning band. I then advanced to the second highest band as a seventh grader and finally made honor band in eighth grade. I hadn't made region band my seventh grade year even though I tried out. I made second chair in the top band my eighth grade year--musical milestone 1. I then came into the high school and made the top band. I made region band every year and ranked high enough to advance to area each year. As a sophomore, I was 7 chairs from making All-state. I worked vigorously to build my technique so I could pull off a good audition my junior year. I made All state this year with a final rank of 21 overall and 13th chair in the top band in Texas. It was such a great experience and a wonderful milestone to overcome especially since I'd been working on that goal for 2 years. It's been so crazy to look back on where I started as the second to last chair in my beginners class to making it to where I am today. I hope to continue doing auditions during my senior year of high school and hopefully achieving state again.
Future: I will graduate high school in May of 2024. I can imagine being very happy that day because I'll be done with high school. I want to go to college in Texas (maybe Baylor) and major in Biology on the premed path. I want to get a doctorate degree and then go to medical school and become an OB/GYN. I don't know about marriage at the moment. It's kind of early. I'd maybe want either no kids or 2 kids--no in between. I like the name Audrey and Amelia for girls and Peyton for a boy. I'd probably wait until I'm like late 20's or 30. I want to retire by 65. I want to travel a lot when Im retired--especially to Europe. I think I'll die when I'm 90.
